Vin Diesel joined hundreds of mourners on Monday night to pay tribute to his late friend and co-star, Paul Walker.
During the evening’s emotional gathering at the site of the crash, The Fast and Furious star thanked fans for their support. “If my brother were here right now and he saw all the love you were bringing here. If he could see for himself that all of you have showed up to show my brother love at this hard time” Diesel addressed the crowed over a loudspeaker of a police car. “I just wanted to say thank you, thank you for coming down here and showing that angel up in heaven how much you appreciated him.”
On Monday, Diesel also took to Facebook to share a quote by Thomas Campbell, writing, “To live in the hearts we leave behind, is not to die.”
“Pablo, I wish you could see the world right now… and the profound impact, your full life has had on it, on Us… on me…”
Diesel, who played alongside Paul in the Fast and Furious franchise concluded, “I will always love you Brian, as the brother you were… on and off screen.”
Walker and his friend Roger Rodas died on Saturday after the Porsche Carrera they were driving crashed and burst into flames.
