Ja Rule took to Instagram to slam rumors that he was leaving his wife for his prison cellmate. In a photo posted on the social media website, the New York rapper flips the bird while giving his wife, Aisha Atkins, a smack on the lips.
“Sorry to disappoint u guys who wanted so bad for the rumors to be true Merry Xmas haters from Mickey and Malerie #naturalbornkillers,” Ja wrote.
The rapper also took to Twitter earlier this week, writing, “Ok I guess I have to address the idiots these rumors are FALSE LIES made up by some non mf factor website CLOWNS lmao.”
HipHollywood caught up with Ja back in October to discuss his latest film I‘m In Love With A Church Girl, and that’s when the raper revealed that he and his wife are in good place.
“Me and my wife … she’s sitting right here, she’s a strong black woman,” as he points to his wife of twelve years. “I think we as a married couple go through what any other married couple goes through, it’s just magnified that much more because everything I do is in the media or inspired by it,” he said.
“I’m a target for fallacious women that want to not see me and my wife happy. So they’ll make up stories and do whatever they have to do to sell books, or be on TV shows … They’ll take a small situation and make it something that’s so much bigger than what it is,” the rapper explained.
“It could be a simple picture and they blow that up into we are sleeping together. I think a lot of stuff gets blown out of proportion and me and my wife, we deal with it accordingly. She knows me, she knows my heart, she knows I love her. We go through things like any other married couple but I think at the end of the day, our love and our bond is stronger than any rumors of infidelity.”
Jeffrey Atkins, the rapper’s legal name, was released from prison in May after serving two years for gun possession and failure to pay taxes.
