It looks like Kelis is pausing her music career to launch a line of cooking sauces. The songstress posted several images online of herself over the weekend rocking an apron and serving up dishes at the Beverly Hills Food & Wine festival using her Feast sauces.
And for those of you thinking Kelis is just doing this as a gimmick because of her “Milkshake” popularity, you’re wrong. The singer is actually a graduate of the famous Le Cordon Bleu culinary school.
As for Feast, HipHollywood obtained this statement about her line of sauces:
“At Feast, we want to celebrate life. And we want to do it daily. The most joyous, the most memorable, the most nostalgic moments in our lives … often times occur during a feast. Weddings, birthdays, reunions, first dates, proposals… festive food is inseparable from our most precious moments. At Feast, we believe that these moments shouldn’t be limited to only once or twice a year. At Feast, every day will be a celebration of life, love and happiness. Every day will truly feel like a special occasion. Every day will be a holiday.”
Good for you, Kelis. As your ex Nas once said, “You gotta stay skilled in the culinary arts. Know a brother stay mad hungry when he sparks.”
