Love and Basketball at it’s best.
Over the weekend, Kevin Durant gushed over his bride to be, Minnesota Lynx star, Monica Wright, after she won the 2013 WNBA Championships. After the big game, KD told Oklahoma Thunder beat writer, Darnell Mayberry that he was excited for his fiancee.
“I was proud of how she helped her team win a championship. It was kind of tears of joy,” he told the writer. “I’m glad she’s my future wife. She’s got more championships than I do.”
During the game, a Twitter follower asked KD how he felt about Monica winning more rings than him. And of course, Durant gave all the credit to his girl. “I love it!!! She’s the better player anyway,” he wrote on the social media website.
Durant and Wright got engaged over the summer. The two have known each other since the 2006 McDonald’s High School All-American Game.
