Jay Z’s Picasso Baby: A Performance Art Film has finally made it’s debut.
Instead of creating a three to four minute music video for his hit song “Picasso Baby,” the creative genius delivered a short film directed by Mark Romanek. The 11 minute video features the rapper’s six hour performance at New York’s Pace Gallery in July.
During a recent interview with Vulture, Romanek explained the it was an eight camera shoot, and was inspired by Marina Abramovic’s The Artist Is Present Museum of Modern Art performance and film.
The video also featured a handful of celebrity cameos including Wale, Adam Driver, Jemima Kirke, Alan Cumming, Taraji P. Henson, and director Judd Apatow.
