Tameka Foster Speaks Out After Son’s Near Death Experience

Tameka Foster is speaking out after her 5-year-old son’s near death experience.
It was just over a week ago when Usher Raymond V nearly drowned while swimming in his father, Usher’s, Atlanta pool. One day after the accident, Foster filed a motion for an emergency custody hearing, in hopes to gain custody of her two sons with ex-husband, Usher Raymond.
“I was mad because I was like ‘how did this happen? Who was watching him? Why was my son under water for nearly three minutes,” Foster shared in an interview with ABC News.
Foster also shared that when she learned of her son’s accident, she was reminded of the death of her 11-year-old son, Kile Glover, who died in a jet ski accident last year. “I relived it. My brain just went into all those modes,” she explained.
When asked if she blamed Usher, Tameka explained that she didn’t blame her ex-husband, rather she was upset it happened on his watch. “While accidents happen, never have my children been injured on my watch,” she said.
After last week’s custody hearing, a judge allowed Usher to keep primary custody of their two kids.
Tameka said that the 5-year-old is doing well and that he went back to school this week.
