Did Raven-Symone come out via Twitter?
“I can finally get married! Yay government! So proud of you,” Raven wrote on Twitter Friday afternoon. The former The Cosby Show star was responding to the Supreme Court’s June decision to overturn The Defense of Marriage Act, and the recent news that a gay marriage law was passed in Minnesota.
After rumors began to spark again about the star’s sexual orientation, Raven released this statement through her rep: “I am very happy that gay marriage is opening up around the country and is being accepted. I was excited to hear today that more states legalized gay marriage. I, however am not currently getting married, but it is great to know I can now, should I wish to.”
Last year, Raven took to the social media website to address rumors that she was gay, and that she was dating former America’s Next Top Model contestant AzMarie Livingston. “I’m living my PERSONAL life the way I’m happiest. I’m not one, in my 25 year career to disclose who I’m dating. And I shall not start now,” she wrote last May.
“My sexual orientation is mine, and the person I’m dating to know. I’m not one for a public display of my life,” the actress posted.
