Amanda Bynes was detained and taken in for a mental health evaluation on Monday night after being involved in the disturbance of a residential neighborhood in Thousand Oaks, Ca.
The Ventura County Sheriff’s Department told HipHollywood that the fire department responded to a report of a gas can on fire on a driveway, which was the same area where Bynes was also just accused of trespassing, according to TMZ. When law enforcement arrived on scene, Bynes was found standing nearby.
Don Aguilar of the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office told HH that deputies investigated the incident and determined that the former Nickelodeon star met the criteria of 5150 W&I (California Welfare & Institutions Code).
Law enforcement did not confirm whether or not the 27-year-old set the fire.
