“Creep” was one of TLC’s most popular songs, but it took nearly 20 years for the unreleased music video to surface.
TLC released the track back in 1994 on their CrazySexyCool album, but it wasn’t publicly known then that the group shot two music videos for the song. Director Lionel C Martin is the man behind the alternative video which recently popped up on YouTube.
Watching the video takes you back to the 90s with Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins, Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas rocking baggy pants and oversized shirts while dancing around some rather husky men. One big difference in the videos is the tone: the version released back in the 90s features the women glamorized in lingerie with a more seductive essence, while the unreleased version is more gritty. You can check them both out below:
T-Boz and Chilli helped produce VH1’s TLC biopic, CrazySexyCool, starring Keke Palmer, Drew Sidora and Lil Mama. Production on the biopic, that chronicles the girl group and how they shot to stardom, just wrapped.
HipHollywood also caught up with T-Boz a few months ago to talk about her personal life, TLC, and an upcoming tour. Check it out:
