R&B singer Ray J, who just released a song many believe was directed at ex-girlfriend Kim Kardashian, is now claiming that the song is not about the reality TV beauty.
Despite using a pixellated image of Kim for the track’s cover art, referencing their infamous sex tape and taking a shot at Kim’s current boyfriend (Kanye West) in the lyrics, Ray says the press has got it wrong if they think he’s talking about Ms. Kardashian.
“It’s a song, it’s not about that, it’s about a concept,” Ray J said in an interview with New York radio station Hot 97. “People going way too deep. They just gotta keep it on the surface. I’m not trying to create no war, it’s all love; we’re doing music.”
And with lyrics like, “She might move on to rappers and ballplayers / But we all know I hit it first … I had her head going North and her ass going South / But now baby chose to go West,” it’s no shocker most people believe the song is being directed at Kim and Kanye, but what do we know?
That being said, do you believe the media is just blowing this out of proportion? Or is Ray talk about Kim and Kanye?
