Exclusive: Eric Bellinger Is Ready To Take Over R&B ‘ASAP’

You may not know Eric Bellinger’s name just yet, but chances are you know his music.
The L.A. bred singer got his start penning hits for Usher, Justin Beiber, Drake and Chris Brown … most recently, writing Brown’s new single, “Fine China”.
Hiphollywood caught up with Bellinger on the set of his video “ASAP” to talk about his own new single, and his upcoming album,Born To Sing Vol II. “I think ‘ASAP’ is more of a stamp, more of a grown and sexy like Usher type ‘Confessions’,” revealed Bellinger. “I was in the studio everyday aiming for that … these song people are going to be like, ‘Oh, he’s serious.'”
Bellinger has already released the video for the Janet Jackson inspired track, “Never be Lonely”, featuring Glee star, Amber Riley, and says he’s ready to take over R&B music. “You always hear people say when they hear other artists that they want that R&B sound back,” said Bellinger. “I’m never going to give people an opportunity to say that about my music.”
Check out what else Bellinger had to say below, and be sure to get his album Born To Sing Vol II when it hits stores and itunes April 15th.
