R&B singer Chris Brown has his crosshairs back on Drake after briefly feuding with Frank Ocean. Brown fires a shot at the Canadian rapper on a remix for Young Jeezy’s, “R.I.P.”
“Dearly departed, I bought a plane I departed / And if you started from the bottom, go on and come out the closet,” Brown raps on the track, referencing Drake’s latest single, “Started from the Bottom.”
Drake and Brown’s disdain for each other reached a climax last year inside a Manhattan nightclub. That’s where the two men’s entourages were allegedly involved in a bottle throwing brawl that ended with Brown receiving lacerations on his face.
Since then, both men have avoided talking about each other, but Drake may have reignited their feud with a verse on “5 AM in Toronto.” “I’m just being frank with you / I mean, where you think she at when she ain’t with you? … A couple albums dropped, those are still on the shelf / I bet them s–ts would have popped if I was willing to help,” the Young Money artist raps, pointing out Brown’s struggling album sales.
