A couple weeks ago, our Kevin Frazier sat down with Gabrielle Union to talk about her new role alongside Eddie Murphy in Meet Dave. During the interview, Union brought along a 15 foot tall replica of Murphy’s head to help with promotion.
Well it appears Murphy’s head has made its way from the back lot of Paramount Pictures in Hollywood, CA to the middle of Time Square in New York City, NY.
The film opens in theaters July 11th.
Jay-Z is speaking out after an historic performance over the weekend at the Glastonbury Festival
Hov was photographed last night in London arriving at 17 Berkeley Street for dinner at a GQ Magazine function.
In an interview with MTV, Jay said he’s thrilled with the energy he’s received while in Europe. “Glastonbury was a historic event for me, I played Milton Keynes the day after that and it’s just … You know, I’m feeling the love. Any time you can come from where I come from - Brooklyn, New York, everybody knows the story - [and] come so far. It’s not that it’s that far, but to come overseas and have people embrace you the way I’ve been embraced thus far, it’s just an amazing feeling.”
In the interview, Jay also revealed he would be open to collaborating with the man who once called his headlining Glastonbury “wrong.” Noel Gallagher of British rock band Oasis criticized Jay’s role in the event. Jay responded by opening his set by playing one of the band’s hit songs, “Wonderwall.” Since then, Noel has reportedly tried to communicate with Jay. “I haven’t spoken to him,” Jay said. “I heard he was reaching out, but I haven’t spoken to him.”
Despite the controversy Jay said he’s open to working with Noel. “I don’t bear any grudge, it’s all good. I just believe in good music and bad music, I’ve always said that. You look at any interview from the beginning of time, I’ve always stated that I don’t believe in the lines and classifications that people put music in so they can easily define it.”
Will and Jada Pinkett-Smith stand by the claim they aren’t Scientologists but the couple does admit they like some of the teaching methods developed by Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard. The Smiths like the methods so much they are funding a new elementary that will use the educational approach known as “study technology.”
“Study technology” emphasizes a hands-on learning experience, mastering a subject before moving on to the next and not skipping past words students don’t understand until they truly learn the word’s meaning.

Mayweather was spotted in Vegas over the weekend doing what he loves to do… flash huge wads of cash. The undefeated welterweight was photographed partying with an entourage at the Wynn Casino before taking his money and people, and heading to the nightclub Tryst.
“He seems to be having a lot of fun in his retirement,” said one clubber. “It was unbelievable to see those stacks of cash - some of them were $100 bills.”
Mayweather announced his retirement from professional boxing last month saying he no longer has the passion necessary to step in the ring. That was after he earned a whopping 40.3 million dollars in the previous 12 months. Hopefully somebody, somewhere, is investing some of that cash.

After being in Europe and eating whatever we wanted, I decided to change my eating habits drastically the day I got home! I also have been spending about two hours in the gym three times a week and I am already seeing results!!!
My goal is continue my heavy workouts and just stick to it!!! It’s so easy to start and then get lazy and lose focus! I am focused now and my goal is to lose about ten pounds and gain back five in muscle. I love my shape and size but want to be a little bit more lean and toned!

Kanye West is speaking out after British singer Amy Winehouse took a shot at him during her performance at Glastonbury. Winehouse was opening for Jay-Z when she said she’s was happy to be opening for Jay and “not a c*** like Kanye West.”
Winehouse continued, “Let’s hear it for Jay-Z. The man has got bollocks to come here, and play the tunes you don’t even know you remember. Imagine if it was a c**t like Kanye West. “C**ts Like Kanye” — that should be his next album title.”
Kanye shrugged off the insult on his blog writing “This just in… Amy Winehouse hates me!!! Now I’ve really made it!!! LOL (laugh out loud)!!!!” For some reason or another, we think Kanye will have a little more than that to say about Winehouse in the future. We’ll see.
Rapper Jay-Z appears to have “99 Problems” but critics ain’t one.
The rapper was photographed leaving Maddox nightclub in London, England earlier this week.
Over the weekend, Jay performed in front of over 100,000 people at the Glastonbury Festival. Since then his record sales in the country have skyrocketed.
According to the BBC, Jay’s 2004 single “99 Problems” will enter the Top 25 UK singles chart this weekend and Hov’s collaboration with Linkin Park, “Numb/Encore,” which he closed his Glastonbury set with, will enter the Top 40.
And it appears one of Jay-Z’s most vocal critics owes the rapper from Marcy Projects a thank you card. Oasis’s “Wonderwall” will also return to the charts after Jay mockingly opened his set with the 1995 single. Oasis front man, Noel Gallagher publicly denounced Jay-Z headlining Glastonbury.
“If it ain’t broke don’t fix it,” he said. “If you start to break it then people aren’t going to go. I’m sorry, but Jay-Z? No chance. Glastonbury has a tradition of guitar music and even when they throw the odd curve ball in on a Sunday night you go ‘Kylie Minogue?’ I don’t know about it. But I’m not having hip-hop at Glastonbury. It’s wrong.”
The original version of “Wonderwall” has experienced a huge sales boost since Jay’s performance.
