Nicki Minaj may not want to say a word about her brother’s rape case, but her mom, sure does. Carol Maraj is gearing up for a tell-all interview and she wants the world to tune in.

Last week she shared that she would be sitting down with Charles Fisher & the Fitness Sheriff to discuss details about her son Jelani Maraj’s case “they don’t want you to know.”

“Watch the Hip-Hop ‘Hood Report with Charles Fisher & the “Fitness Sheriff” as I share the SHOCKING NEWS the COURT DON’T WANT YOU TO KNOW in a TELL ALL INTERVIEW about my son’s TRIAL,” she announced on Twitter.

Carol later updated her followers that the interview slated to air on Wednesday, August 8th had been pushed to Saturday, August 11th.

In November, Jelani was found guilty of predatory sexual assault on a child younger than 13 years old. According to reports, prosecutors stated Maraj began abusing the victim, while married to her mother, at age 11 and raped her repeatedly between April and November 2015. Now 14, the girl testified that Maraj called her “his puppet” and claimed she had “no say” in what was being done to her. She continued by saying he “warned her to keep the abuse a secret.”

Minaj, who coincidentally just announced she’s getting her own show on Beats 1, has been radio silent about brother’s case. She did however go visit him in jail shortly after he was convicted. In December 2015, the “Chun-Li” rapper posted Jelani’s $100,000 bond, but she never took the stand to testify on her brother’s behalf. Her mother did though.

The guilty charges carry the potential for 25 years to life in prison.
